Maritime Logistics in the face of the challenges of the container shipment market

  • Concentration of container market – consequences for maritime logistics (terminals, freight forwarders and, more broadly, shippers).
  • The assessment and analysis of the processes on the maritime container shipment market, which is under severe pressure of global circles, posing basic threats to the TFL (Transport Forwarding Logistics) maritime industry/ sector.
  • The activities of the maritime logistics sector (in Europe, and especially in Poland) regarding adaptation to the trends and phenomena on the market (the problems of risk management, change management, reconstruction of the current business models, concentration as an answer to the concentration regarding the market, etc.)
  • The assessment of the prospects of the maritime container shipment market growth, both global as well as in relations with Poland in the coming years (until 2020) and their possible influence on the maritime TFL sector.
  • What actions and of what nature (investment, regulatory, legal and administrative, other anti-crisis) should be taken in Poland in order to effectively support/ promote the development of the Polish TFL sector? How can the model of this sector develop without those actions, based only on a market mechanism in its present state?
